Everyone has a story. These stories could be great or heartbreaking, they could be ones where we are the villain or the hero. But regardless of the type of story we have, one thing remains clear: we can't get far alone.
Sometimes, we may think we can make it alone because we have all these experiences. However, the truth is that we need others to help us along the way. We need people to support us, guide us, and encourage us when we feel lost or unsure of ourselves.
That's why it's essential to build strong relationships with those around us. Whether it's our family, friends, colleagues, or even strangers, we all need each other to thrive. By connecting with others and sharing our stories, we can learn from each other's experiences and grow together.
Examine the people in your life. Who do you go to when you are dealing with challenges or seeking guidance? Essentially, there should be someone you can talk to. It could be a point in your life where you are looking at making a substantial financial decision or switching jobs, starting a side hustle, dating, getting married, etc. Who are you speaking to about these things? As you consider this, remember to seek advice from people whose lives you admire. For example, if I wanted to make a business decision, I would speak with someone who has a thriving business, and if I wanted to make a marriage decision, I would speak with someone who has a great marriage with over 15 years of experience.
It will save you a lot of time and heartache to seek guidance from people who have already walked the path you are about to take. If within your circle you cannot identify people who can guide you, then it may be time to get a coach. And this is why we have different coaches in different fields, e.g., marriage, dating, parenting, etc.
Let's be open to new relationships and experiences, and let's remember that we are all in this together.
